Working in Tub Mill and Hendricks Creeks

 Building Better Streams,

Making Better Fishing!

In the beginning Tubmill Trout Club partnered with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and  the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission Stream Habitat Division. Since the 2008 partnership additional partners include the Westmoreland County Conservation District and many financial donors. With this partnership dificult problems will be overcome . As a result Tubmill and Hendricks runs will improve. Using Ben's words "we want to make Tubmill's watershed the crown jewel of the Laurel Highlands" and together we'll make it happen. Goes to show, you keep knocking on doors and someone will finally answer. How about that..... LIN

Well that door has been opened and the following photo pages shows the proceedure of work done by just a few hard workers. Future projects are in the pipeline and these concerned groups will need continued involvement with landowners and willing workers sharing time to improve our streams. Look at the sites listed below and see what of many things being done to improve our Tubmill watershed.

 1.) Altimus'   2.) Beauforts    3.) Midget Camp

Our current partners include Greg Schaetzle (left) stream biologist with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and Pa Fish Commission Habitat Manager Mark Sausser. From year to year various agencies and private entities contribute cash to bring our projects to completion. These gentlemen shown above along with additional personnel and equipment do the design and work along with labor gangs from Tubmill Trout Club Unlimited.
